Q How soon will my Web Site be available to me?
A Once you advise us of your chosen Domain Name and we receive payment for same your domain will be registered within 8 hours and your site IP -- Username -- Password will be emailed to you. It may take up to 72 hours for your Domain Name to complete propagation and replace the IP
Q How long before my completed site is published to the Web?
A For a Starter Plan Web Site comprising up to 8 pages Design will take no more than 7 days but normally 72 hours provided you have supplied us with ALL relevant data and inclusions. This is assuming your business has an ABN, ACN or RBN if you are opting for a .com.au domain.
Q I want an Online Shop where I can catalogue my products and accept Credit Card payment -- How does this work?
A Setting up a Merchant Trader account with a bank etc.can be a very costly exercise often costing over $US 300 to establish and attracting on--going monthly service and transaction fees. The Internet has made the World a small place and for our offshore clients PayPal have over 15,000,000 clients throughout 39 countries worldwide. Joining is not only free but PayPal will pay you $US 5 for joining should you meet their criteria and charge a minimal transaction fee. They collect payment on your behalf and transfer proceeds directly into your bank account. Similarly PayMate affords these services for Australian clients. All of our hosting plans include an Online Shop and your shop can be online within days. All transactions with PayPal/PayMate are secure and encrypted for your protection.
Q How do I know if my site has created a sale?
A Within seconds of your customer submitting a purchase you will receive e.mail notification specifying Customers Name, Item/s Purchased and Sale Amount from PayPal or PayMate.
Q I’m not sure about PayPal or PayMate -- what else do you suggest?
A Then a Merchant Trader Account is the only alternative. We cannot assist you in establishing the account but will create your Online Catalogue including images for $AU 55.00 per page additional to the Plan you have selected. We recommend the services of 2CheckOut.com as a reliable, safe third party credit card processor or you can discuss Merchant Trading with your Accountant or Bank Manager and weigh up the monthly charges against PayPal, PayMate or 2CO fees.
Q I see I have numerous POP3 E.mail addresses with my plan -- Why do I need so many and what can they be used for?
A Electronic Mail is the major form of communication in the World today and you can never have enough e.mail addresses. Apart from one ‘Catch--All’ address which, as the name implies, is the default e.mail for your site which ‘catches’ all e.mail directed to your site even those which have an incorrect prefix, use your remaining addresses for personal [you@yourdomain], staff [sales@yourdomain], agents & distributors [distributor@your domain], promotions [specials@yourdomain], site manager [webmaster@yourdomain] and product information [info@yourdomain] to name a few.
Q Auto Responders -- I have these too?
A These are used to send instant responses in answer to an e.mail request while you are away from your business, on vacation or simply quit for the day. Say a potential client requested product information by clicking on a link we set up at your site -- say info@yourdomain. The instant he/she clicks, your site sends a preformatted e.mail to the client which has all the information they require. You will never miss a sales lead again.
